It's now very easy to add and access Klaxoon activities in the e-learning modules of your LMS. No need to juggle between different windows, the Klaxoon plugin simplifies the preparation of course for trainers and offers learners a seamless learning path.
Are you using the Klaxoon platform alongside your Learning Management System to create more engagement during your courses or training sessions? Or are you an LMS user who'd like to find out how Klaxoon can boost your learners' learning experience? Discover Klaxoon's new plugin dedicated to LTI-compatible LMSs!
LTI stands for Learning Tools Interoperability, a standardized protocol that enables interoperability between an LMS and external systems. To use the Klaxoon plugin, your LMS must be compatible LTI version 1.3. This is the case for Moodle, for example, but also for Blackboard, Canvas, D2L Brightspace, Sakai and many others.
By integrating Klaxoon into your LMS, you'll be able to offer a richer, more participative experience to all those involved in your e-learning courses:
Teachers and trainers can natively add Klaxoon content when creating courses in the LMS.
Students and course participants can access their course content in a single tool, without having to log in several times, and benefit from a variety of resources.
Installation is simple, so you can get started quickly. Below is an example of Klaxoon's integration with Moodle.
1) Administrator setup
Start by contacting your Customer Success Manager or Klaxoon Support to express your interest in installing the Klaxoon plugin in Moodle. You'll receive an illustrated documentation containing all the steps and accesses required to declare Klaxoon as an external tool for Moodle. You'll also find a guide to set up Moodle in your Klaxoon administration console.
2) Adding a Klaxoon activity to a Moodle course
Log in to your Moodle teacher account, and choose "My courses". Select the course in which you wish to include a Klaxoon activity and switch to edit mode. You can then "Add an activity or resource".
Select Klaxoon in the plugin window, then click on "select content". All that's left to do is enter your Klaxoon account details and choose the activity of your choice from the activity selector that appears.
Add a description of the activity in Moodle if you wish, then save. The Klaxoon activity is now available directly in your course!
3) Take part in a Klaxoon activity from within a Moodle course
Log in to your Moodle student account, and select "My courses". Click on the activity link in your course, and a Klaxoon window will open directly in Moodle.
At this point, a pop-up window will automatically connect you to your Klaxoon account. If you accept, you won't need to enter your login details again.
Once connected, you can interact with the Klaxoon activity in your course!
This feature has been available to all Klaxoon users since January 4, 2024.
