The "+ New" button allows you to :
Start workshop by creating a Session, a Board or a Network
Launch activities to facilitate your workshop : Quiz, Survey, Adventure, Mission
Follow-up with your workshop with Question, Memo or Article
It is located in the side menu on the left-hand side:
If you choose to create a Board via this button, you can choose to create an empty one or select one of the proposed Templates.
