Learn how the touchpad works in Board.

As a touchpad user, you can:

  • Navigate the Board by swiping with two fingers

  • Zoom in by pinching or bringing two fingers together

  • Create a new idea by double-clicking

An auto-detection system lets you switch between mouse mode and your touchpad for a smooth and intuitive experience. However, you can also manually define your navigation mode (mouse, touchpad or automatic detection) in the profile settings by opening the “Board Preferences”.

Please note the following special features:

  • In Mouse mode: select this option if you're using the Apple Magic Mouse. However, if this option is activated and you slide two fingers over a touchpad, this will trigger a zoom.

  • In Touchpad mode: select this option if you're combining a touchpad with a mouse or graphics tablet, and in particular if you're used to scrolling the page with a scroll wheel and zooming using the scroll wheel + Ctrl combination (on Windows) or Cmd (on Mac).
