With Quiz, your team's knowledge is tested and bested!
A Quiz can include up to 20 questions of different formats: single or multiple choice, fill in the blank, find the word, drag'n drop... all in all, 9 types of Quiz questions to be enhanced visually with photos or videos. Set the mode to either “free” or “question by question”, where participants must answer the question correctly in order to advance to the next one. The choice is yours!
Potential Uses: Assess knowledge, challenge on a subject, share information in a playful way...
To get started, here is a Quiz template, ready-to-test and use, with modifications or not: How good are you at spelling?
In Klaxoon Home, click on and then on
.
The Creation pop-up is displayed:
Enter the Quiz name (maximum 80 characters), add an image, and then click on create
.
Where is the image for an Activity displayed?
Activities are displayed in Home or in a Network as an illustrated box.
When creating them, select an image stored on your device or a photo taken on the fly. If you do not choose one, your profile photo will be used by default.
You can then subsequently change this in Studio using the file picker (Klaxoon Storage).
The editing screen is displayed:
In the Mode box, select the mode by which participants progress through the Quiz.
Which mode should I choose?
Replay option : After completing the Quiz, the participants can start again to improve their score (this option is disabled if the Quiz is placed in a Session).
Free – Classic: After answering a question, participants move on to the next one, even if they have answered incorrectly. They can display corrections.
Question by question – Evaluation: Participants must answer the question correctly to advance to the next one. If they do not achieve the specified percentage, they must replay the question.
Question by question – Controlled by the facilitator (only in a Session): After answering a question, participants must wait for the facilitator to open the next one in order to access it. That way, the entire group progresses at the same pace.
In the Questions box, either import questions
that already exist or create new ones by clicking on the icon for the required question type and then on add
.

The question input pop-up is displayed:
Enter the Question title and then click on create

In the Choices box, configure the answers, then click on save

(Optional) In the Options box, add a media file and/or a description (additional instructions), then click on save

The Question is added to the list.
Create up to 20 questions.
How do I make changes to the list?
On each line:

Your Quiz is ready to be shared:
Click on Launch
and then select how you wish to broadcast the Activity.

Klaxoon offers 9 types of Quiz questions used in the Quiz, Adventure, and Memo activities.
Single choice question (SCQ)
Participants select one answer from several options.
Example: Spot the odd one out.
Multiple choice question (MCQ)
Participants select several answers from several options.
Example: What are the safety instructions?
Drag'n drop image to text
Participants match an image (thumbnail) with a text.
Example: Find the product names

Example: Match these brands and their founders.
Find the word
Participants must enter a word or number in response to a question.
Example: How many ... ? / In what year ... ? / What is the name of ... ?
Fill the gaps
Participants must enter words to fill in the gaps.
Example: Enter the missing words.
Categorize
Participants must sort text items into pre-defined categories.
Example: Match these authors with a literary movement.
Memory
Participants turn over images to find pairs.
NB – only submit the question after you have found all the pairs.
Example: Match the images.
Sort into order
Participants sort items into order.
Example: Sort the following from newest to oldest.
The Quiz launched in stand-alone mode (i.e. outside a Session) is preferably used asynchronously. At any time, you can view the participants' results.
Burger Menu
Display a menu enabling you to:
Pause
Freezes all activity on participants' devices.
Click on the play button to unfreeze devices.
Stopwatch
Displays the stopwatch/timer.
Number of participants
Displays a list of connected participants. The black bubble shows the number of participants.
If required, you can delete a participant from the list. His/her contributions to activities will continue to be recorded. S/he can subsequently reconnect.
Results
Access results for each question of the Quiz.
Access code
Displays a popup with sign-in details for participants.
The dashboard of a Quiz launched in a Session provides a live view of the participants' progress, and their results once the questions are completed by all the participants.
Session Board
Return to Session Board without closing the activity.
Close the activity
Content and question results can still be viewed on the Meeting Board.
Question numbers (in Question-by-question mode)
The active question is shown in blue.
Pause
Freezes all activity on participants' devices.
Click on the play button to unfreeze devices.
Stopwatch
Displays the stopwatch/timer.
Number of participants
Displays a list of connected participants. The black bubble shows the number of participants.
If required, you can delete a participant from the list. His/her contributions to activities will continue to be recorded. S/he can subsequently reconnect.
Participants progress
In Free – Classic or Evaluation mode, progress is displayed for all questions and the result screen is displayed once all the participants have answered every question.
In Step by step – Animator Control mode (shown above), the circle fills up as participants answer. Once everyone has answered, the results for the question are displayed.

Displays a list of participants for the question
Stop waiting
The results are displayed even if some of the participants have not yet answered.
Next question (in Question by question – Controlled by the facilitator mode)
Click to make the next question available to the participants (the button is available once every participant has answered).
