TL;DR
The Ranking question type lets participants order options by preference. Klaxoon turns each ranking into points, with the last option always getting 2 points and each higher option getting 1 more point. It then adds all points together and shows the results in a Spider graph so you can compare preferences at a glance.
Overview
Use the Ranking question type to let participants sort a list of options by preference. Klaxoon converts each ranking into points, so you can review the group’s choices in a clear, visual way.
How Are Points Awarded?
Klaxoon assigns points based on the order each participant chooses:
- The option ranked last gets 2 points.
- Each option above it gets 1 more point than the option below.
If your poll has five options, the scores are:
- First place: 6 points
- Second place: 5 points
- Third place: 4 points
- Fourth place: 3 points
- Fifth place: 2 points
Klaxoon adds the points from all participants to calculate each option’s final score.
Note
The last-ranked option always gets 2 points, no matter how many options are in the poll.
Visualization of Results
Klaxoon displays ranking results in a Spider graph, also known as a radar chart. This chart helps you compare scores across all options and spot group preferences quickly.
The ranking makes it easy to prioritize group options.
- The points system is progressive: the better placed a proposal is, the more points it receives.
- The Spider graph makes analyzing results quick and intuitive.
