As a Mission leader, collecting data is a key step in analyzing your team's progress. There's an important subtlety about the Leaderboard option that directly impacts the files you retrieve when exporting your data.
Here's how to master this feature to enhance your participants' results.
1. The link between the "Leaderboard" option and your exports
When you set up your Mission, you have the option to check a box to enable Leaderboard.
If checked: Your participants earn points and see their ranking. But above all, on the facilitator's side, you access the "Leaderboard" file when you download the data of your Mission.
The result: In your download folder (the .zip file), you will find a specific Excel file (e.g. leaderboard.xlsx or .csv) containing the summary of the scores.
2. The flexible trick (the "real plus")
This is where all the flexibility of the tool lies: nothing is set in stone!
Forgot to check the option at creation? Or didn't want to show the leaderboard right from the start? You can check or uncheck the "Leaderboard" option even if your Mission is already launched.
As soon as you check the box, the system generates the calculation of the points. All you have to do is run a new export of your data to see the famous leaderboard file appear in your folder.
3. Why use this Leaderboard export?
This file is a valuable asset for the processing of your post-Mission data.
- Consolidate your results: If you manage a long course consisting of several Missions (for example, 3 separate Missions in a quarter), the Leaderboard export allows you to easily compile the Excel files of each Mission.
- Gamification and Rewards: In the blink of an eye, you can identify the most diligent or high-performing participants. It is the ideal tool to animate a closing ceremony and reward the best!
