TL;DR
Export your Miro board as a PDF (all frames or a selected area) using either:
- Best quality / Vector for editable, high-quality, lossless zoom
- Small file size / JPG for lighter files with lower quality and no editability in Klaxoon
Then in Klaxoon, go to New → three-dot menu → Import → Files, and upload the exported file. After the import, customize the board in Klaxoon and collaborate with your team.

Export Your Miro Board
Discover the different exports available from Miro.
Export all the frames as PDF
Each frame on your Miro board becomes a page in the PDF. You can pick from two options:
- Best quality: Use this editable format for lossless zoom and the highest visual quality.
- Small file size: Use this to reduce the file size. Elements aren’t editable, and quality is lower.
To export from Miro:
- In your Miro board, click the three-dot menu.
- Select Board.
- Click Export.
- Select Save as PDF.
- By default, Miro exports the file in Small file size. To change it, select Best quality.
Exporting a selection as a PDF (vector quality)
- In your Miro board, select the area you want to export (a frame, specific elements, etc.). The exported PDF keeps vector quality, so you can zoom in without losing clarity.
- To export as an image, click the three-dot menu, select Board, then Export, and click Save as image.
- By default, Miro exports the image in minimum quality. To improve it, select Vector.
Export a selection as a PDF (JPG quality)
Select Board area
Exports the selected Board area as a PDF page with a compressed JPG image. This keeps the file size small but can reduce image quality when you zoom in. It’s best for quick sharing when file size matters more than image accuracy.
You can’t edit this content in Klaxoon Board after you import the PDF.
Import Your Miro File
- Click the three-dot menu in the toolbar.
-
Select Files under the Import menu.
- Choose and add the file you want to import.
Adapt and Collaborate

- If your Miro board is large or complex, export it in several smaller parts to make importing into Klaxoon easier.
- Make sure all participants have access to the Klaxoon board so everyone can collaborate without interruption.
