TL;DR
Players in a Mission are ranked first by total points. If there’s a tie, rankings are decided by: fewer activity replays, fewer question/step attempts, greater progress through the Mission, and finally higher correct answer rate. This system is designed to reward strong performance, efficiency, completion, speed, and accuracy.
Overview
We rank players in a Mission based on several criteria. If two or more players are tied, we use the criteria below in order to decide the final ranking.
How We Rank Players in a Mission
Most Points
- We look at each player’s total score first.
- The score is based on the answers they give at each stage of the Mission.
Fewest Activity Replays
- If players have the same score, we compare how many times they replayed the Mission activities.
- A player gets a higher ranking if they reach their best score with fewer replays. Each additional replay lowers that bonus.
Fewest Question or Step Attempts
- Next, we compare the number of attempts used to answer each question or complete each step.
- A player gets a higher ranking if they answer correctly with fewer attempts.
Highest Progress
- If there’s still a tie, we look at how far each player progressed in the Mission.
- A player who completes all questions ranks higher than a player who stops before the end, even if their scores are similar.
Highest Correct Answer Rate
- Finally, we compare each player’s rate of correct answers.
- This shows how well they performed based on the questions they answered.
Why This Ranking Method Works
This ranking method helps keep results fair. It takes into account:
- Performance across activities, such as Quiz, Poll, or Memo
- Commitment to completing the Mission
- Speed and accuracy
