The Live feature will gradually disappear from Board and Session. This evolution is accompanied by more complete alternatives already available, so that you can continue to run your meetings and workshops with Klaxoon, with complete peace of mind.
1. What are the alternatives to Live?
Instead of using Live for video conferencing, you can now rely on:
- Microsoft Teams
- Zoom
- Google Meet
Klaxoon is fully integrated with these tools. You can:
- Launch or join a video meeting while hosting your Klaxoon Boards and Sessions
- Share your screen, board or session during the meeting
- Invite your participants to contribute in real time on Klaxoon, just like you did with Live
Advantages over Live
By combining Klaxoon with Teams, Zoom or Meet, you get advanced features that were not available with Live, for example:
- Meeting Recording
- Breakout rooms for working in breakout groups
- Automatic transcription of exchanges (depending on the solution used)
- Advanced management of microphones, cameras and participants
- More robust audio/video settings (noise cancellation, conference mode, etc.)
You keep Klaxoon for collaborative animation (Boards, Sessions, activities) and you rely on the videoconferencing solution of your choice for audio/video.
2. Using Klaxoon with Microsoft Teams
You can use Klaxoon with Teams in several ways:
-
In a scheduled Teams meeting
- Schedule your meeting in Teams
- Add the link to your Klaxoon activity (Board, Session, etc.) in the invitation
- During the meeting, share your screen or open Klaxoon in a dedicated tab (if your Teams tenant allows it)
-
In Klaxoon–Teams integration
- Access Klaxoon directly from Teams
- Open your Boards or Sessions in a channel or tab
- Invite participants to interact on Klaxoon while remaining in the Teams environment

3. Using Klaxoon with Zoom
With Zoom, you can:
-
Start a Zoom meeting then:
- Share your screen with your Board or Session
- Paste your Klaxoon activity link into Zoom chat for participants to join and contribute directly
-
Plan your workshops
- Create the Zoom meeting
- Add the Klaxoon link in the invitation (email, calendar, etc.)
- During the workshop, switch between the "video" view and the "Board/Session" view in screen sharing as needed
Features like Zoom check-in and breakout rooms allow you to organize subgroups in parallel with your Klaxoon activity.

4. Using Klaxoon with Google Meet
With Google Meet, you can:
- Start a Meet meeting from Google Calendar
- Add the link of your Klaxoon Board or Session in the invitation
-
During the meeting:
- Share your screen with your Klaxoon activity
- Invite participants to join the Board or Session directly to contribute
Meet assistants (depending on your license) can handle transcription or additional features, while Klaxoon remains the central space for visual collaboration.
5. How is the transition going?
Starting in March, thenew Board interface will be available without the Live icon.
You will be able to switch between the old and new interface until Q2 2026.
After Q2 2026, access to Live will be permanently removed, both in Board and in Session.
What you can do right now
