TL;DR

Dimensions are extra fields on ideas for details like names, dates, or keywords.

Set them up in Board settings → Sticky notes → Extra fields, then add labels and save. When you edit a sticky note, fill in the dimensions and send it to show them under the idea.

Overview

Dimensions help you capture extra details for each idea. They appear as free fields below the idea, so participants can add information like their first name, a date, or a keyword. Facilitators can then use these entries to sort and refine ideas beyond basic categories, for more precise analysis.

How to Create Dimensions/Extra Fields

1. Click the caret icon next to the board name 1.
2. Select Board settings 2.
3. Select Sticky notes 3.
4. Select Extra fields 4.
5. In the Extra fields pop-up, add a label 5.
6. Click the + icon to add more labels 6.
7. Click Save 7.

1. Click Edit sticky note in the conceptual toolbar 1.
2. Fill in the extra fields (dimensions) 2.
3. Click Send sticky note 3.
4. You can now see the extra fields (dimensions) in the idea.
