TL;DR

Boards have three views you can switch between anytime (individually, without affecting others):

• Board view: Freeform infinite canvas for arranging ideas manually.
• Column view: Ideas organized into category columns; you can sort, filter (All/My notes), and group by category or color.
• List view: Table layout to scan, sort, compare, and filter ideas (including by content type like files, media, or links).

Overview

When you open a Board, you can choose from three views: Board, Column, and List. You can switch views at any time, and each participant can pick their own view without affecting others.

Board View

Board view gives you an infinite whiteboard where you can manually place and arrange ideas.

• Drag ideas anywhere on the canvas.

• Use this view when you want more freeform brainstorming and layout.

  

Column View

Column view organizes ideas into columns by category. You can drag ideas between columns to change their category.

In Column view, you can:

1. Change sorting for a column:
   • Click the column three-dot 1 button in the column’s title.
   • Choose how to sort ideas: by date, category, or number of likes.
2. Choose which ideas you see:
   • Click Show (top left).
   • Show All or My sticky notes 2.
3. Group ideas:
   • Click Group by (top right).

   • Group ideas by Category or Color 3.

     

List View

List view shows your ideas in a table so you can quickly scan, sort, and compare them.

In List view, you can:

• Sort ideas by attributes such as color, category, and dimensions.
• Use the same Show and Group by options available in Column view.
• Filter ideas by content type:

  • Show only ideas that contain files, media, or links
