Overview

If you’re joining a Klaxoon session for the first time, you can connect in just a few clicks and start contributing right away. This guide walks you through the typical participant journey: logging in, following slides, using chat, answering quizzes and word clouds, and sharing ideas on the Board.

Log In to a Session

1. Click the session link 1 or scan the QR code 2 shared by the facilitator.

2. If you’re not a logged in user then use your credentials to join session 3.
3. If prompted, you can enter a nickname instead, depending on how the facilitator sets up session 4.

View the Slides Shared Live

1. After you join, you’ll land in the participant interface.
2. Follow the facilitator’s presentation using the slides displayed in real time on your screen.
   • Slides update automatically so you stay in sync with the session.
3. For a full-page view of the slides, click the menu under the slide area, then select Full-screen view.

Use Chat to Exchange With Others

1. Click the + button at the bottom center of the screen.
2. Select the Message icon.
3. Type your message, then send it.
   • Your message appears instantly so you can keep a smooth conversation with the facilitator and other participants.

Answer a Word Cloud or Quiz

When the facilitator launches an interactive activity, a question appears on your screen.

Answer a word cloud

1. Read the question displayed.
2. Type your answer in the text field.
3. Send your answer to add it to the shared word cloud.
   • The most frequently used words appear larger in the cloud.

Answer a Challenge (quiz question)

1. Read the question and the available options (if any).
2. Select or enter the answer that you think is correct.

3. Submit your response.

   

   

Share Ideas on a Board

If the facilitator opens a Board during the session, you can post ideas, comments, or suggestions.

1. Open the Board when it appears in your interface.
2. Add an Idea:
   • Click to add a new idea and type your text, or
   • Drag and drop elements as allowed on the Board.

3. Move or edit your ideas to help structure the group’s thinking.

   

Tips for a Smooth First Experience

• Make sure you have a stable internet connection.
• Use chat to ask for help or react to what’s happening.
• Take part in the activities (word clouds, quizzes, Board) to get the most value from the session.
• Explore different features as they appear to you during the session.
