Creating a Session

TL;DR

Create a Klaxoon Session to group activities, live questions, and presentations in one interactive space. Name it, optionally add an image and description, add or organize content, then configure sharing and invite participants by email, network, or link/code.

Overview

A Session lets you group activities in one place so you can run interactive meetings, workshops, or presentations. You can add activities, live questions, and presentations, then share the Session with participants.

Create a Session

  1. From the Klaxoon home page, click + New 1.
  2. Select Session 2.
  3. Enter a name for your Session 3.
    You can use up to 250 characters.
  4. Optional: Add a Session image by uploading a file from your device or taking a photo 4.
    If you don’t add an image, Klaxoon uses the Session activity image by default.
  5. Click Create 5.

Add a Description

  1. Open the Settings 1 section.
  2. Enter a short description of the Session’s purpose and content 2.
  3. Click Save 3.

Add Activities

You can add activities such as Adventures, Boards, Memos, Quizzes, and Surveys.

  1. In the Activities 1 section, click the icon for the activity type you want to add.
  2. Click Add 2 to add an existing one.
  3. If you create a new activity, enter a name and complete that activity’s setup.
  4. Repeat these steps for each activity you want to include.

Tip

To reuse existing activities, select them from the add activities screen, then click Duplicate and add..

Edit the Activity List

  • Drag and drop an activity to reorder it.
  • Click the three-dot menu to edit, duplicate, or delete an activity.Edit the Activity List.gif

Add Live Questions

  1. In the Live Questions section 1, click the icon, then click Add 2.
  2. Enter the question title 3.
  3. Set the answer options based on the question type 4.
  4. Click Create 5.

Add Presentations

  1. In the Presentations 1 section, click Add presentation 2.
  2. Import an existing presentation (Select existing presentation 3 → Submit 4), or Create a new presentation 5 in Klaxoon.

Share the Session

  1. Click Share 1.
  2. Configure your Session before sharing it.
    1. Add Session name 2.
    2. Set Share by link/code 3 settings.
    3. Choose to Hide participants identity 4 and / or Ask participants for a nickname 5.
  1. Click Save and share 6.
  2. You can share sessions by any of the following methods:
    1. By adding People 7 using their names / email addresses.

Note

You can import people through csv.

  1. Via Network 8.
  2. Via link/code 9.
