1) How do I set up the Klaxoon add-on for Google Meet?
This add-on is required both to host and to participate in a Klaxoon activity in Google Meet. You can access it from Google Workspace or by requesting access from your company's Google administrator. It is also available directly from Google Meet, by clicking on "Activities" in the bottom right-hand corner of your interface, then on the "+" button.
💡 If you've already installed the module as part of the Klaxoon and Google Calendar integration, then you don't need to reinstall anything.
2) How do I launch a Klaxoon activity in Google Meet?
Once the add-on has been installed, it becomes accessible for all meetings from the "Activities" button.
Clicking on "Klaxoon" brings up a list of activities you've created and participated in.
You can sort and filter them, or create a new Board or Session. Click on the one of your choice, then on "start activity".
Your Klaxoon activity will then open in your Google Meet window. You and your participants can collaborate as usual in Klaxoon: post an idea on a Board, answer a Survey question, play a Mission, etc...
Please note: if some participants have not installed the add-on, you can still show then the activity as it appears on your screen, via the "Share this screen" button. However, they won't be able to interact with the activity.
3) How can I take part in a Klaxoon activity in Google Meet?
When you're in a Google Meet meeting and a Klaxoon activity is launched, a banner appears inviting you to join. Click on "Join activity"
You can view the activity and interact with its content. All the usual actions are available: like an idea, answer a Quiz question, share your opinion in a Survey...
At the end of your work session, simply "Leave activity" via the dedicated button to exit Klaxoon. All of your work is saved within Klaxoon to access whenever you need it.

From now on, when you share your screen on a Klaxoon tab, a pop-up will appear to encourage you to use the
Klaxoon x Google Meet integration to make your meeting more interactive and allow your participants to interact.
If you have installed the module: the pop-up will ask you to launch the add-on for interactive sharing.
If you don't have the module: the pop-up asks you to install the add-on.
This feature has been available to all Klaxoon users since November 10th 2023.
