Do you want to bring an extra touch of subtlety and creativity to your boards? Good news! It is possible to modulate the transparency of your shapes, connectors, drawings, sketches and SVG icons directly from the color menu.
Find out how to take your visual creations to the next level in just a few clicks.
1 - Select the object you want to edit
Start by selecting the object whose opacity you want to adjust on your Board. It can be a geometric shape, a connector connecting ideas, a freehand drawing, a quick sketch, or an SVG icon.
2 - Adjust the opacity
Once the object is selected, a context menu appears. Click the icon representing the stroke and/or fill color.
Then using the "Opacity" slider, adjust the transparency of your object according to your needs. You can drag the slider or click on the proposed steps (from 10% to 100%, in 10% increments) to achieve the desired effect. An opacity of 100% means that the object is completely opaque, while an opacity of 10% will make it almost transparent.
💡 Special feature for shapes: For board shapes, you have more flexibility. The color menu gives you the option to change the opacity of the brush outline and fill independently. This allows you to create original visual effects by combining different opacities for outline and fill.
💡 Good to know : Like all other properties of your Board objects, the opacity value you set is preserved when you copy/paste the object within the same Board or to another. It is also taken into account when duplicating objects or importing/exporting Boards, ensuring visual consistency in all your projects.
With this new feature, the creative possibilities on Board are multiplied tenfold. To go further in customizing your elements, don't hesitate to consult our article explaining how to customize the color of a shape.
