TL;DR
If your text doesn’t show in presentation mode, it usually is because it is hidden, hard to read, or only visible in edit mode. In edit mode, check the text box placement, move/resize it if needed, update the formatting, and preview the presentation to make sure participants can see it. If there’s too much text, split it across pages or use activities instead.
Overview
If you add a photo and text to a page, the text should appear when you launch your presentation. If it doesn’t, the text is usually hidden behind another element, hard to read, or only visible in edit mode.
How to Check Your Page
- Open your page in edit mode.
-
Check where the text box sits on the page.
- Make sure the text isn’t behind the image or another element.
-
Move or resize the text box if needed.
-
Update the text formatting.
- Use the text toolbar to adjust the text’s heading.
-
Preview the presentation before you start your Session.
-
This lets you confirm that participants will see the text as expected.
-
-
Launch the presentation in presentation mode.
- Make sure you aren’t still in edit mode.
Tip
If your page has a lot of text, split the content across multiple pages or use questions and activities instead. That makes the presentation easier to follow.
