TL:DR:
The Session dashboard is your main control center in Klaxoon. You can use it to invite participants, manage access, launch activities and presentations, track engagement, control timing, export Session data, filter and search Board content, view messages, and check Session statistics and summaries. It also lets you update Session settings, keep participants in sync, and monitor how your Session performs.
Overview
The session dashboard helps you run and manage a Session in Klaxoon. From here, you can invite participants, launch activities, start presentations, track participation, and control what appears on participants’ screens.
How to Use the Session Dashboard
The session dashboard includes the following areas:
Open the burger menu 1
Click the caret icon to access session actions and settings. From here, you can:
- Open the Session in Studio to edit the title or session image.
- Display the Session on screen.
- Add or edit an activity or a Live Question.
- Duplicate the Session.
- Create a template.
- Transfer Session ownership.
- Close the Session permanently and generate a report.
- Delete the Session.
- Add the Session to favorites.
- Mute notifications.
- Close the Session and keep it open for later.
- Delete the Session.
- View Session Stats.
- Export Session data.
Manage participants 2
Use the Participants section to:
- Invite participants by name, email address, or Network.
- See how many participants are connected.
- Open the participant list.
Manage your timing 3
Click the Manage your time icon to open the stopwatch or timer. From here, you can pause the Session and view participant attention.
Launch a presentation 4
Click Presentation to select one or more pages and start presenting them.
When you launch a presentation, synchronization starts right away.
Share the Session 5
Click Share to invite participants and manage access. From here, you can:
- Invite participants by email.
- View the access code.
- Lock or unlock access by code.
- Copy the Session link.
- Copy the QR code.
Filter board content 6
Use Board filters to show only specific items on the Board, such as:
- Messages
- Activities
- Live Votes
- Live Challenges
- Live Storms
- Shared presentations
- Flagged items
Search the Board 7
Use the Search field to enter a keyword and find an item on the Board.
Open the Board 8
Click Timeline to display the Board. The Board is the main Session screen. It shows:
- Participant messages in chronological order
- Activities
- Live Questions
- Shared presentation slides
You can click an item to enlarge it, flag it, or delete it.
View the session image and objectives 9
The session image and objectives appear at the top of the Board. You set these in the session editing screen in Studio.
Open messages 10
Click the green semi-circle to open the Session messaging pane. From here, you can:
- Read participant messages.
- Reply to messages.
- Delete messages.
Open activities 11
Click Activities to:
- Launch scheduled activities.
- Launch scheduled Live Questions.
- Create new Live Questions.
View the Session summary 12
Click the Summary icon to view Session details and performance metrics. From here, you can review:
- Overall Session statistics
- Participation levels
- Activity success rates
- Activity duration
Use this view to understand how participants engaged with the Session and how each activity performed.
Session stats
Click the caret icon and select Statistics to open Session statistics. From here, you can view:
- A summary of your Session.
- Participant contribution and engagement in the activity.
Export session data
Click the caret icon and select Export to export Session data. Available export formats include:
- ZIP
- Klaxoon format
- PDF report
Tip
- Use Board filters when you want to focus on one type of interaction.
- Use Presentation when you want all participants to stay in sync.
- Use Leave the Session if you want to come back later without closing it.
