TL;DR
To create a Quiz in Klaxoon, go to Home > New > Quiz, name it, optionally add a cover image, and choose a mode for how participants progress. Then add or import up to 20 questions, set correct answers, and optionally include media, descriptions, or personalized comments. You can reorder, edit, duplicate, or delete questions before you launch and share the quiz.

Overview
Use a Quiz to test knowledge, check understanding, or guide participants through a set of questions. You can create the quiz from Klaxoon Home, choose how participants move through it, add up to 20 questions, and then launch it.
Create a Quiz

In Klaxoon Home, click New 1, then Quiz 2.
- In the creation pop-up, enter a quiz name 3.
Note
Quiz names can contain up to 80 characters.
- Add an image 4, then click Create 5.
Note
The image appears on Home or in a Network as the activity cover. If you don’t add one, Klaxoon uses the activity’s default logo by default. You can change it later in Studio with the file picker (Klaxoon Storage).
Pick a Mode
In the Mode box, choose how participants will take the quiz.
Quiz Standalone
Standalone quizzes offer 2 modes:
Free / Classic
- Participants can complete the quiz at their own pace.
- They can move through the quiz freely, without strict progression rules.
- Best for a standard quiz experience.
Question by Question / Evaluation
- Participants answer one question at a time.
- You can enable evaluation rules in this mode.
- When evaluation is enabled, participants must answer correctly before they can move on to the next question.
- If they answer incorrectly, they may need to try again before advancing.
- Ideal for learning, training, or certification-style quizzes.
Quiz in Session
Session-based quizzes offer 3 modes:
Free / Classic
- Participants can complete the quiz at their own pace.
- They can move through the quiz freely, without strict progression rules.
- Best for a standard quiz experience.
Question by Question / Evaluation
- Participants answer one question at a time.
- Evaluation rules can be enabled so participants must answer correctly before moving to the next question.
- If they answer incorrectly, they may need to try again before advancing.
- Ideal for learning, training, or certification-style quizzes.
Question by Question / Host Control
- Participants see one question at a time, but progression is controlled by the host.
- The host decides when to move everyone to the next question.
- Best for live, guided quiz sessions.
Additional Quiz Settings
Enable additional settings for the quiz.
Replay
- Participants can retake the quiz.
- This gives them the opportunity to improve their score.
- Useful for practice or revision.
Show Correct Answers
- The correct answer is displayed after each question.
- It is also shown again in the final results.
- Useful when the quiz is designed for learning.
Randomize Answer Order
- Answer choices are displayed in a different order for each participant.
- This helps reduce copying and improves fairness.

Add Questions

In the Questions box, do one of the following:

Click Import Question 1 to use existing questions.
- Click a question type icon 2, then click Add 3 to create a new question.

Click Import Question 1 to use existing questions.

In the question pop-up, enter the question title 4, then click Create 5.

In the Choices box, set up the answers, then click Save 6.

You can check the boxes with correct answers.

Optional: In the Options box, add a media file (Image / Video) 1 or a Description 2 or Personalized comment 3, then click Save 4.

You can add up to 20 questions.
Manage the Question List
Use the question list to update the order or make changes:
- Drag and drop a question to move it.
- Click the three-dot menu to edit, duplicate, or delete a question.
Launch and Share

Click Share 1.

Choose how you want to share the activity 2.
- Click Save and share 3.
- After launch, you can use the animator view or the participant view.
