TL;DR
How you join an activity depends on how the facilitator launched it. If they used an access code, you join with that code. If they launched it in a Network, you can join right away only if you're already a member. If you use your email address and don’t have an account yet, you’ll need to create one first.
Overview
The facilitator can launch an activity with an access code or in a Network. The way you join depends on how the activity was launched.
If the activity uses an access code, you’ll join with that code. For steps, see How to enter an activity access code? If the facilitator launches the activity by access code, you can join it with the access code.
Join an Activity With a Nickname
Enter a nickname, and click Continue.
Join an Activity With Email Address
Enter your email address, and click Continue.
Account does not exist
If the system doesn’t recognize the email address, the participant must create and confirm an account before they can join the activity.
Account creation is required to access an activity. In some cases, the system asks only for the participant’s email address, first name, and last name, and then sends an email with instructions to finish creating the account.

For an activity launched in a Network, such as a Board, there are two ways to join:
- If you're not a member of the Network yet, you need an invitation before you can access the activity.
- If you're already a member of the Network where the activity was launched, click Continue.
