How to Share a Klaxoon Activity Without Requiring an Account

TL;DR

To let people join a Klaxoon activity without an account, set sharing to Open to users with the link and Ask participants for a nickname before you share it. Then send the link, QR code, access code, or email invite. Participants can join right away with a nickname, no account needed.

Overview

You can share a Klaxoon activity with people who don’t have a Klaxoon account. To do this, enable link access and require participants to enter a nickname instead of signing in.

How to Share an Activity Without an Account

As an Activity Owner

  1. Open the activity you want to share.
  2. Make sure the activity hasn’t been started or shared yet.
  3. Click the Share button 1 in the top-right corner.
  4. In the Sharing settings, select Open to users with the link 2.
  5. Select Ask participants for a nickname 3.
  6. Click Save and Share 4.

  1. Share the activity in one of these ways:
    • send the invitation by email from Klaxoon 5.
    • send the access code 6, or
    • share the QR code 7,
    • copy the link 8,

When participants open the activity, they can join by entering a nickname. They don’t need to create a Klaxoon account.

Note

  • If you already launched and shared the activity without this option, reset it to allow login without an account, as explained here.
  • You can’t reset a Board activity. Duplicate it instead.

As a Participant

  1. Open the shared link, scan the QR code.

OR
Open the Klaxoon login page, click Join an activity 1, and enter the access code.

  1. Enter your nickname 2.
  2. Click Continue 3 to join the activity.

You can access the activity right away. You don’t need to create an account.
