If you’re joining a Klaxoon Board for the first time, this article walks you through the participant journey. You’ll learn how to join the Board, understand the layout, and take part in the activity.
Join a Board
- Open the link your facilitator shared.
- Enter your name.
- Click Continue to join the Board.
Note: You don’t need an account unless your facilitator tells you otherwise.
Understand the Board Layout
When the Board opens, you may see:
- Zones: sections for topics or steps
- Ideas: notes added by participants
- Connectors: lines that link related ideas
- Shapes: visual elements that organize content
Your facilitator will guide you through each part of the activity.
Add an Idea
- Click anywhere on the Board.
- Type your idea.
- Press Enter.
- Drag the note to the right zone, if needed.
💡 Tip : Keep your ideas short and clear.
Use Zones
Zones help organize the activity. Your facilitator may ask you to add ideas to a specific zone, such as:
- Brainstorm
- Questions
- Actions
Example: If the Board has a Questions zone, add your question there.
Connect Ideas
- Click a sticky note.
- Drag a connector to another note.
- Add a label if needed.

- Depends on
- Blocks
Note: Not all activities use connectors.
Use Colors
Your facilitator may use colors to group ideas by team, topic, or priority.
Example:
- Green = go
- Red = stop
- Blue = questions
Note: Color meanings can change from one activity to another.
Vote and React
If voting or reactions are available, use them to share your opinion.
You may be able to:
- Vote for ideas
- Add reactions
