Overview

Use Restrict activities to team to limit access to Activities and Networks owned by your team. When you enable it, people outside the author’s team can’t join, request access, or receive invitations.

How to Enable or Disable the Restriction

1. Open Administration 1.
2. Go to Settings 2 > Security & Privacy 3.
3. Open Restrict activities to team 4.
4. Turn Enable restriction 5 on or off.
5. Click Save 6.

What Happens When You Enable the Restriction

1. Joining an activity

Only members of the activity author’s team can join. People outside the team can’t join with a link or access code.

2. Access requests

People outside the team can’t request access to the team’s activities.

3. Invitations

Authors can only invite members of their team. Invitations aren’t sent to external email addresses.

4. Network access

Networks can’t use public access. Authors can only select private or team-scoped access.

5. Sharing options

Authors can’t make an activity available to anyone with the link. They can share it only with invitees, team members, or both.

Team members can continue to join and collaborate on Activities and Networks owned by their team.

What People Outside the Team See

When someone outside the team tries to join a restricted Activity or Network, they see an Unauthorized access message explaining they are not allowed to access it.

How the Restriction Affects Existing Content

The restriction applies when someone tries to join and uses the team’s current setting.

• It applies to new and existing activities.
• New external participants can’t join previously shared activities after you enable the setting.
• People who joined before you enabled the setting may retain access.
• The setting doesn’t change the saved sharing mode of existing activities. It adds a team-level access restriction.
• After you disable the setting, each activity and Network follows its usual sharing and access rules.
